I would do a poll but there's too damn many. I say the best tag team was......drum roll please....... these guys.
Dude, they like, totally reeked of awesomeness!! Great on the mic, great skills in the ring, great chemistry...they gotta be the best. When the tag team division was hot in the early 2000s between Too Cool, The Dudleys, The Hardys and Edge and Christian, it was these guys who ruled the roost I'd say.
Edge and Christian were good. I'll always maintain that The New Age Outlawz were the best tag team. Ya know, I think I heard JR refer to them so much that I actually was brainwashed into believing it.
But they had good chemisty. Road Dogg was the whipping boy and Billy was "the clean up guy." At 6'2 and 6'4 they were around average size but still an incredible team capable of beating anyone. I'm also a big fan of The Hardys, The Acolytes and Kane and X-Pac when they were a team. I might rank them this way. Top 5.
1) New Age Outlawz
2) The Hardy Boyz
3) The Acolytes
4) Kane and X-Pac
5) Big Show and Undertaker (The Unholy Alliance)
Honorable mentions to Edge and Christian, The Brothers of Destruction, Kane and RVD, and Booker T and Goldust. Looking at my list, Kane was quite a tag team specialist, wasn't he? He's on the list three times with three different people!
