Playing this on the xbox now. I'm on episode 3 and its damn depressing. Nice review. I have to admit that its the best role playing game I've ever played. I just can't be mean to Clementine.

Speaking of Clem I didn't know she was black until I read your review. She definitely looks Asian. Didn't know Clem was a sista. Now it makes sense why everyone kept asking if Lee was her daddy.

I thought she was Asian too. This is a fun game. Evan and AJ, did yall side with Kenny and help him kill Larry or did you side with Lily?

Re: My review of The Walking Dead Season 1 Video Game

Zombies Ate Me
I was a fan of The Walking Dead before the show started. I've read the comics, I've seen every episode of the show multiple times, and I've played both the first and second seasons of the game multiple times. If there is something with The Walking Dead branded on it, chances are I have played with it or seen it.

This game, however... This game affected me in a way that I didn't even know was possible. I mean, after all, these are fake people, these are written animated characters, so who really cares about what happens to them at the end of the day? I do. I care. And I never really thought it possible to truly bond with characters that don't really exist the way that I did with Lee and Clementine. I feel like I've known these two forever, and every little awful thing they go through, I feel like I went through with them. The bond that you form with these characters so quickly is astounding, and is really a testament to Telltale for being able to craft that in a game that most would consider to be a budget title.

The story that Telltale has crafted here is beyond phenomenal. Lee is a convict on his way to prison for murder who finds and befriends a young girl named Clementine. Yes, it's simple, but it works and fully fleshes out, complete with tragedy, cannibals, and graphic violence. It's everything a zombie fan could want. Lee's growth throughout the first season (five episodes total, plus 400 Days) paints him as one of the greatest protagonists in video game history, and his arc in the story, up until the ending, is nothing short of brilliant. Clementine gets recognition here as well, and though her story is more dictated by the actions of Lee and what he tells her to do and her limitations as a child, is still nothing short of fascinating. Telltale has painted a brilliant portrait of a child in a zombie apocalypse, a child whose only motivations are to find her mom and dad. It's truly captivating to see the bond that is formed between this orphan and an ex convict in this post apocalyptic world.

I sided with Kenny the first time I played. Kenny was my dawg! Ride or die with Kenny! The choice wasn't hard to make cuz Larry had been nothing but an asshole to everyone (ESPECIALLY Lee!!) and he was laying there comatose..no use in letting him turn.

I played the game again later and sided with Lily and she was really nice to me after I sided with her. But she still went insane and murdered Carley/Doug and left the group. I wonder if we'll ever see her again? I wonder what happened to Christa too? Haven't seen her since episode 1 of season 2.

Kenny. Easily. Larry was a racist asswipe. Kenny was a good friend and I treated him the same. I hate that Carley died though. I was hoping Lee would get to hit that. She clearly wanted his chocolate balls.

Sometimes I would be preparing to make a tough decision and Clementine would be looking up at me with those big eyes and I'd crumble. lol.

The first time I played it I sided with Kenny, too. He loses his cool plenty of times but he can be a great alley to Lee if you make the right choices. Did any of you fight Kenny on the train? I didn't the first time but the second time I played it I beat the crap out of him! <quote author="Evan Fields">

Yes, she did. She was nice and a great asset to the group because of her shooting. The game is similar to the comics and TV show. You get attached to somebody and then POOF! Gone.

Lee died? That sad ending pissed me off. We cut off his arm and he still died. I may need a day or two to get myself together before I play 400 days

AJ your picture of Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie as Clem's parents had me killing myself laughing. That was a good one!

This game is fun though. I knew something was off about the St. John's. Their mom was a little "too nice." I didn't hesitate to kill that crazy bitch in the woods with the crossbow. When she said she was going to string my balls up, I was like, "Yea. Time to go, bitch."

Lee and Clementine have to be among the best video game characters of all time. Evan, wait til you play season 2! Things get even crazier.

Whoever played, will be shock by Lily's action.

She was crazy.

That is one big game experience that everyone can never forget.

That is why I find episode 3 is the best among Season 1.

Lily was crazy, just like her father. Have you played season 2 yet, Redfeng? Things only get crazier!

I have completed Season 2.

There are more endings in Season 2.

There will be Season 3.

I still find Season 1 is better.

Yeah. I completed season 2 as well and agree that the first season was better but I can't really explain how. Did you like 400 Days? And why in your opinion was season 1 better than season 2? And, which ending did you pick for season 2?

This post was updated on .
Characters in Season 2, are not that interesting.

Interesting characters died too soon

Peter & Walter.

Some characters, u feel that saving them, is pointless.

Nick, Sarah, Alvin and Sarita.

Even you cut off Sarita's infected arm, she still got eaten by the walkers.

What is the point of that choice?

I thought Luke will be another Lee.

As the story goes on, he transformed from strong to weak....

Turned up that you have to save his ass the whole time...

I was ready to cry when Omid died. It was so sudden and I really liked him. He was funny. I get the feeling that Christa blamed Clem for his death. Speaking of Christa I wonder what happened to her baby?

I think the baby was killed. Remember when Jane made Kenny think the baby was gone? Clem kept saying, "Not again." I'm assuming walkers got her.

Carver was nothing more than a cheap knock off of me (The Governor).

I feel the same. Perhaps we'll learn what happened in season 3.

Some of these decisions were easy to make. I made sure to protect my past from EVERYONE!

i let carly  die cuz she know something bad and yeah ken killed larry hehe all the witnesses are DEAD. Gotta cover your tracks right?

Its a fun game but more like a movie where you control the story. Not bad but I prefer games that are more hands on.
